Introducing the Rapid Review and Resettlement Service™

Zeno’s Rapid Review and Resettlement Service (RRR) is an innovative approach we have introduced to the care sector in 2018. Developed in partnership with Manchester City Council, this service represents a transformative shift in how the NHS and social services support people aged 16 and over with learning disabilities and/or autism who are experiencing a crisis and was the first of it’s kind.

This service is the first of its kind.

For individuals who are struggling to manage within their current home or their support placement is at risk of collapse, existing options are very limited, often leading to a section under the Mental Health Act (MHA), alternative, designed for short-term placements in hospital wards or acute psychiatric units. However, these settings are typically unsuitable for the majority of cases and seldom meet the individual’s needs.

Our Rapid Review and Resettlement Service™ provides a compassionate and effective alternative, designed for short-term placements, it supports individuals whose existing living arrangements are unstable. The service prioritises stabilising behaviours through Positive Behavioural Support and specialised psychological interventions—helping to avoid unnecessary sectioning under the MHA and reducing the risk of hospitalisation

How Rapid Review works

Our care is person centred.

The staff team implement Positive Behaviour Support, ensuring each person has their preferred communication strategies. Each person’s independence skills are added to and embraced, and consistent and predictable bespoke routines are quickly implemented to anchor the person’s health and wellbeing.

Each individual that is placed on the RRR is reviewed and within a 12-week period a documentation pack is produced which includes:

Risk Management Plans (care plan)

A Moving On Support Plan

A Positive Behaviour Support Plan

Appropriate Situation Specific Support Plans

The individual should be ready to leave on the ninth week, enabling a transition to take place in a planned manner.
