Zeno Ltd Training Program

Zeno Ltd is dedicated to ensuring that all staff are fully equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform to their best potential. This includes initial training, ongoing training, and specialist training to maintain high standards across the company.

Initial Induction Training

All induction training is delivered by an experienced member of the Zeno Management Team. CPI Safety Interventions includes disengagement techniques and physical intervention holds, recognised by the British Institute of Learning Disabilities (BILD).

Care Certificate

The Care Certificate is a nationally recognised qualification that covers 15 Principles of Care. New employees are expected to complete all sections of the Care Certificate within three months of induction, as part of their probationary period.

  • The manager will review and sign off each section during a probation appraisal.
  • Certain modules from the Care Certificate count as evidence for Health and Social Care Level 2 qualification.

Ongoing & Mandatory Training

After the induction, Zeno employees will continue with mandatory training during their probation and beyond. This includes:

  • Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
  • Mental Capacity Act (MCA)
  • Equality and Diversity
  • Fire Safety
  • Food Hygiene
  • Health and Safety
  • Nutrition and Diet
  • Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults

Additional training specific to certain services may include:

  • Positive Behaviour Support
  • Autism
  • Mental Health
  • Acquired Brain Injury Training
  • Active Support
  • Introduction to Mindfulness

 

E-Learning

Some of the mandatory training is completed via e-learning. Employees will be provided with log-in details at the start of their employment to access the training modules online.

Specialist Training

Specialist training is delivered as needed based on the specific services provided, including:

  • Positive Behaviour Support
  • Autism
  • Mental Health
  • Acquired Brain Injury
  • Active Support
  • Introduction to Mindfulness
