Zeno was formed in 1995, to promote the independence for services users who had a Learning Disability with challenging and complex behaviours and/or associated mental health issues. We specialise in highly complex cases, where services with other providers have failed, and where historically this support has been provided by institutions and hospitals. We are recognised by the local authorities we serve, as a leading specialist in this field. To date we are proud of our record, we have never had a service fail, and independent assessments by multidisciplinary panels for each service user have recognised a significant improvement through the care we provide. We operate services in the North West of England, developing services when a requirement is identified. We operate a small family business culture, no agency staff are used and regular social events and a stable management structure enable a close working relationship from owners to support staff. This enables the culture and ethos to remain strong at all levels and promotes a fun and progressive workplace.
As an Organisation, we embrace change as long as it is positive for the people we support. As such we have a good working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, and the associated Deprivation of Liberty procedures and regulations, as well as other relevant local and national legislation. We always seek to continuously develop our staff teams, implementing new techniques such as intensive interactions for use with Autism, and accessing new forms of training, such as the new CQF diploma which is replacing the current NVQ system. We employ our own Behavioural and Clinical Practitioner, who is accountable for all risk assessments and contingency strategies.
